One day workshop
Research shows that the most effective form of ‘talking therapy’ for a wide range of common emotional and physical health problems in young people. A growing body of evidence supports the use of CBT to treat a wide range of child and adolescent emotional and behavioural problems including depression, generalised anxiety, conduct disorder, interpersonal problems, social phobia, school refusal, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Delegates will develop skills in helping adolescents and young people to understand and cope with their own lives and difficulties more effectively. There is a particular focus on behavioural activation and setting small, bite-sized behavioural goals which are based on individuals own unique values and interests.

This one-day introductory workshop is ideal for all professionals with a role in supporting adolescents and young people. This includes GPs, nurses, teachers, social workers and support workers.
The training is suitable for people with little or no background or training in CBT, as well as those with more experience of CBT who wish to learn how to adapt CBT training to the 10 Minute setting.
