10 Minute CBT Training Outcomes

10 Minute CBT has been extensively evaluated and has been found to have a number of benefits including:

  • 10 Minute CBT consultations with nurses leads to a changes in healthy behaviours such as increased walking and activity levels in older adults (see http://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1001783
  • Training in 10 Minute CBT for health professionals led to an increase in patient self-efficacy scores for patients with long-term conditions and cancer. This means that patients feel better able to manage their own health and to stop any emotional distress, pain or other health problems from interfering with living their lives the way they wish to
