An early corporate career in general and change management developed an interest in the potential for change and personal development in all individuals, leading to a career change to psychotherapy.
While my therapy focuses on CBT, I have a particular interest in the use of acceptance as a therapeutic and change technique. I employ a number of acceptance-based therapies as an adjunct to CBT, including REBT (Rational-Emotive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness and AAT (Acceptance-Action Therapy). I also present personal development seminars called Acceptance-Action Training.
I have extensive experience in the application of CBT to a full range of psychological issues. I have a special interest in Bipolar Disorder and recently presented to the National Bipolar Conference on the use of CBT in the effective management of Bipolar Disorder.
